This 3 hour course is suitable for any person within a childcare service as part of an induction or fire safety program. The course is practical with an emphasis on providing childcare workers with an understanding of fire prevention, what to do in the case of a fire the selection and use of fire fighting equipment and how to manage and organise fire drills within their childcare setting. The program may be adapted to comply with a childcare services individual fire safety procedures i.e. the escape plan and evacuation procedures can be incorporated into the session.
A practical session on the use of extinguishers is incorporated into our program if a suitable area is provided. Where fire extinguishers are set of an additional charge for refilling them maybe applied.

Candidates are certified by SQS.
